His background in brewing beer and love for the rocks and trees. Her background in essentail oils and love for the plants + flowers.  Their shared love and respect for nature. The Smelly Sasquatch is what happens when a yoga teacher and  rock climber fall in love.

Shawna and John Bebbling are a husband and wife team and owners of The Smelly Sasquatch.

 

The first time we came to Yosemite, I got out of the car, took a deep breath and said, "Oh my gosh, I wish I could take this smell with me."  Years later,  now we can and so can you.

Shawna has been in the holistic health industry since 2011 owning multiple yoga studios and wellness centers and an essential oil company in Southern California. In 2023, John + Shawna opened a wellness center in the Yosemite area. Inspired by the abundance of nature, fire prevention strategies and sustainable way of living that exists in the Yosemite area, the two began collecting fallen trees + branches and trimmings from the neighbors on "burn days" for fire prevention and distilling the leaves and needles into essentail oils. One thing has led to another and they have created The Smelly Sasquatch, a sustainable, hand-made, organic wellness product line. The aim of the business is to use nature to inspire people to feel better.

We make everything by hand. We connect with local businesses because we beleive in supporting one another.  For example, our Apple Cider Vinegar in our bug spray comes from the apple orchard down the road from our house + the coffee grounds in our scrubs and candles come from our local bakery. We can customize anything and do everything from create the products and labels to hand pour the candles or formulate the scents using the oils we collected and distilled. Although we are a small business, we can handle big orders. We have the supplies and manpower along with heart and dedication to fulfill big orders and we are looking forward to working together.
